G'day

Beck and Dion founders of Tradies Gear
Let me introduce myself, I'm Dion from The Oaks, from a family of 6 kids. I love surfing, having a beer with mates and exploring this awesome continent and world.

I’m a man of many ideas - some good, some not so good and some just wild pipeline dreams.

As a chippy I copped plenty of banter from the lads on a daily basis “have you heard Dion’s latest invention?" I knew I had to get one off the ground so I started out with bespoke furniture and cool cubby houses aka, Kool Kubbies. Heaps of potential but it just wasn’t ticking the boxes.

As us boys know, behind every great man is an even greater woman. When my pommie Beck rocked up, she got me on track and helped get one of my better ideas off the ground - the Tradies Gear Belt you all now know and love!

Since launching TG a few years back, we’ve sold thousands of belts (and proudly covered many butt cracks) right across Australia. And yes, we definitely have plans to spread the love globally too.

We finish off every single one of your belts ourselves, with heaps of pride, care and craftsmanship. You’ll find me dipping the ends or whipping up a custom size most nights!

Don’t get me wrong, I love being a carpenter and definitely haven’t hung up the tool belt yet, but right now it’s about getting the TG belt out to you guys. Thanks to Beck’s encouragement and support, together, that’s exactly what we’ve done.

But that's not the end of the TG story.  Our very good mate and brickie, Josh approached us a year or so ago with the idea of a magnetic line block.  We worked with him to get his idea off the ground and this year are super proud to have launched MAGSY.

These days you’ll find me, Beck and Laela (our crazy little kelpie) at home renovating our bush shack in the Illawarra or sneaking off for a cheeky road trip in between sending out TG gear to you lot, all across the country every, single, day.

Thanks for supporting our Aussie business, today more than ever!
